Justin Fulcher’s RingMD Reached 50 Countries at Its Peak

Before it became a case study in global telehealth, RingMD started as a single prototype coded by a young founder who had noticed a basic problem: people had smartphones long before they had reliable access to doctors. Justin Fulcher built the platform to close that gap, first in Southeast Asia and later on a much wider scale across several continents.

At its peak, the company held about 1.5 million patient records spread across more than fifty countries, with ten thousand healthcare providers using the platform to reach patients in places that traditional clinics could not easily serve. That scale did not come from consumers alone. RingMD‘s client list eventually included governments, hospitals, insurance carriers, and pharmaceutical firms, each using the platform for its own distinct purpose.

A Government Partnership

One of the collaborations Justin Fulcher has singled out as especially meaningful was RingMD’s work with the Indian government under the Digital India programme, a national push to bring services to rural areas that had long been underserved by existing infrastructure. It is the kind of deal that measures success in access rather than revenue, and Fulcher has described it as among his proudest achievements from the RingMD years.

Built for Scale

Reaching that many countries required more than ambition alone. The platform combined patient facing tools, provider dashboards, and data systems built to work across different regulatory environments, letting Fulcher’s team serve wildly different markets from a single technical foundation without rebuilding the product each time.

Justin Fulcher’s path to that scale started small, with a hobby project coded without a name or a pitch deck to show anyone.
